Happy Anniversary!

Read time: 2.5 minutes

1 year ago, I realized I was stuck in a loop.

Not just in my routines, but in my mind.

Every day, I woke up and believed the same thoughts.

Felt the same emotions.

Did the same things.

And every day, I wondered why my life wasn’t changing.

I told myself I wanted more, I wanted…

  • To grow

  • To become better

  • To build a life I was proud of

But here’s the hard truth:

I was stuck in the habit of being myself.

"Most people live their lives unconsciously, thinking the same thoughts, feeling the same emotions, and performing the same actions — and then they wonder why nothing changes."

Dr. Joe Dispenza

That was me.

I wasn’t just living — I was reliving the same day, over and over.

The worst part?

I didn’t even realize I was doing it.

I’d wake up every morning and let my mind wander to the same worries:

  • "What if I fail?"

  • "I’m so behind."

  • "I’ll start tomorrow."

Those thoughts weren’t just fleeting moments.

They were the foundation of my identity.

They reinforced emotions like frustration, doubt, and overwhelm.

And those emotions? They drove my choices.

I wasn’t designing my life — I was reacting to it.

I never stopped to question it. I just kept doing what felt familiar.

And the problem with that is..

The familiar doesn’t create change.

Breaking the habit of being myself wasn’t easy.

And let tell me you — it most definitely wasn’t comfortable.

But it started with one small decision: I made a promise to myself.

The promise was simple — send out 1 newsletter every single week.

No excuses.

Today, looking back — I realize the impact was far greater than I could have imagined.

For the first time in a long time, I had broken that cycle.

I stopped letting old thoughts and emotions dictate my actions.

I chose a new pattern, one small habit, that aligned with the person I wanted to be.

And here’s what I’ve learned:

Most of us aren’t stuck because we’re lazy or unmotivated.

We’re stuck because we don’t question the loop we’re living in.

We don’t stop to ask ourselves:

  • Why do I keep thinking this way?”

  • “What emotions am I addicted to?”

  • “What beliefs are holding me back?”

We wake up every day, running the same mental program, not realizing we’re wiring our brains to stay exactly where we currently are.

But you can break the cycle. You can create a new future.

And it doesn’t have to start with a complete overhaul of your life.

It starts with one decision.

Transformation follows a simple formula:

BE → DO → HAVE.

  • First, decide who you want to be.

  • Then, start doing what that version of you would do.

  • Over time, you’ll have the life that aligns with your new identity.

This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being intentional.

A year later, I’m grateful for the version of me who made that decision.

To the version of me who decided to stop living on autopilot and start creating a life that felt aligned.

And even more so — I’m grateful for you!

For everyone who’s been here since the beginning, everyone who joined recently, and everyone who’ll still be here next year.

This newsletter is more than a weekly email. It’s my weekly commitment to myself — and to you.

I don’t know where this journey will take me.

But truly, I don’t need to know.

All I know is that I won’t stop.

And if you’re stuck right now in your own Life, I invite you to ask yourself:

What’s one habit, one thought, or one belief I can choose to break today?

What’s one small promise I can make to myself?

Reply directly to this email with your answers.

You don’t need to do it all at once. You just need to start.

Because once you break the habit of being yourself, the possibilities are limitless.

And a year from now, you’ll look back and realize...

You’ve become someone new.

Thank you for reading my friends. Thank you for being here.

Here's to 1 year of Mornings w/ Julian!

With love always,

Julian
