The Question That Changes Everything
Read time: 3.5 minutes
What would be different if you believed in yourself a bit more?
Oh, my friends, if only I could tell you how powerful that question is…
You wouldn't even imagine it.
We tend to underestimate the true beauty that it holds.
And why?
One possible explanation might be that we're too afraid to hear the answer that’s waiting on the other side.
At least that was the case for me.
For years upon years, I neglected the truth.
Perhaps I was too afraid to confront the reality of my situation:
I was purposeless with no clear direction in Life
I'd wake up daily & relive the same day over & over
I had a strong need to control everything; always stressed
Let me clarify — I'm not judging myself.
I'm just sharing with you a bit about who I used to be.
Plus, I was simply unaware. Uninformed.
I can't possibly judge myself for that. That wouldn't be fair.
However, that is the main thing I was missing in my Life.
Awareness.
Of myself.
Of mind, body, & soul.
Of the world around me.
But this is challenging to cultivate if you’re avoiding the truth.
Letting it in, no matter how harsh, paves the way for change.
Remember — when it comes to change (loss of a loved one, a breakup, job loss) — it has to be worse first.
Always.
Which by the way, if it is, that's how you know you're moving in the direction you want.
Even if you can't see or feel it at first.
Change is painful.
It's uncomfortable & undesired.
Even more so, it's unfamiliar.
Nevertheless, it doesn't mean you can't embrace it.
Because the other option is staying right where you currently are:
Thinking the same ugly thoughts every morning
Feeling & experiencing the same environments every day
Performing & doing the same actions today, tomorrow, & the day after that.
And if I may let you in on a little secret...
The sooner you can admit to yourself that you aren't satisfied & have always wanted more for your Life on this planet, the better.
Many people — like I used to do — spend lots of time lying to themselves.
And for what?!
Not only are you wasting precious energy by running the same mental programs day in, day out. But, you're also taking away from the short time you have on this beautiful Earth.
We all know one truth:
Our time is finite.
And just like we came into this Earth, we'll be leaving it with nothing.
No money
No investments
No cars, houses, or watches
I’ve worked with over 200 entrepreneurs this year — and many are chasing wealth but still feel unfulfilled.
There’s a deep void within.
Some find themselves constantly exhausted & chronically stressed despite all their financial & monetary success.
Others haven’t taken the time to understand themselves. Leading to impulsive reactions and strained relationships.
What's the point of all this hard work today if you won't even be able to enjoy it tomorrow?
"It's for my partner, my kids, my family!. Everything I do is for them."
And this, my friends — is once again, another example of neglecting the truth.
You work hard to provide for your family, sure.
But deep down, you also do want to be there — to see your kids grow, make lasting memories, and witness your legacy.
No true high-achieving individual lies on their deathbed wishing they had missed out on those moments.
Let's face the reality, my friends.
Nobody talks about the kind of person they would like to BE.
Why?
Because they don't realize they have a choice in the matter.
And to some extent — they don't.
Modern society & the comfort craze have hijacked your brain.
With cheap dopamine and short-term impulses, leaving no space to pause or reflect.
So in essence, it's not your fault.
And like I told you about me earlier — this isn't something worth judging yourself for.
BUT.
It is your responsibility to do something about it once you are aware.
Plus, if you've read this far & are still here, I know you know there's more out there for you.
I know you share the same feelings as I did when I desperately wanted a new Life.
When I wanted to:
Wake up energized
Make a lasting impact
Feel a deep sense of purpose
However, this wasn't something that just happened overnight.
I firstly needed to become the person capable of attaining these things.
In other words, I need to BE that very person.
The good news?
You can start today.
How?
By asking yourself a simple question made up of just 4 words...
What would be different (if ....)
When I feel stressed, doubtful, or misaligned, I turn to these 4 glorious words. By practicing them consistently, I’ve built a foundation for a more intentional, aligned self.
Over time, it’s become second nature to pause & ask myself that question — before acting, speaking, or reacting — a habit that’s transformed how I live.
I'm still the person I was 12 months ago.
Just a more conscious & evolved version.
One that I intentionally created & put together.
All through deliberate, careful pausing & patience.
"All this sounds great & I want the same for my life! But I don't get how just 1 question can change so much?"
My honest answer?
Try it — you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
As you do, ask yourself...
What would be different if I didn't touch my phone first thing in the morning?
What would be different if I were grateful at this very moment?
What would be different if I were to let it go?
Sometimes, just a few seconds and the right question can be the spark for the life you’ve always wanted but thought was out of reach.
Let me know how it goes; I reply to every email.
Thank you for reading!
As always, Happy Saturday.
And more importantly — Much Love!
With gratitude,
Julian
